TOTW49 Predictions!

With the big leagues starting again, TOTW predictions will also start again. And this week looks pretty good.

Starting XI

Butland, 84, GK – vs Arsenal

You should be happy that FIFA is already over. Butland made 6 saves and got a 8.9 match rating. Although Butland’s inform looks pretty certain, I could see Jese making the cut for his debut goal too.

Alonso, 87, LWB – vs Spurs

We should all be able to agree that Alonso had the game of his life. He delivered both goals as Chelsea went on to beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 away at Wembley.

Musacchio, 85, CB – vs Crotone

AC Milan looked very, very solid in their first game away at Crotone. Although Suso looks like a serious canidate, Musacchio deserves a shout too. He was great defensively keeping a clean sheet and getting a 7.6 match rating in a 0-3 win.

Dani Alves, 88, RWB – vs Toulouse

Neymar was the definite inform for PSG this week, if he didn’t have an inform already. Since he does, I could see either Kurzawa (1 goal) or Alves make the cut. Alves had a solid match, claiming an 8.2 match rating.

Piatti, 85 – vs CHI and RSL

Playing two games through the week, Piatti managed to score 4 times and pick up 2 MOTMs. Should get him an inform.

Tolisso, 87, RM – vs Hoffenheim

Bayern started off their Bundesliga campaign really well, winning 3-1 against Hoffenheim. All of the transfers made an instant impact, but with Tolisso scoring the 2nd goal, I can see him making the cut.

Pogba, 93, CM – vs Swansea City

Manchester United have started off very well this season, with Pogba key to this. After scoring 1 goal and 1 assist against West Ham, Pogba managed to do the same against Swansea, getting a 8.9 match rating too.

Mandzukic, 87, LM – vs Cagliari

Mandzukic scored 1 goal in a 3-0 win at home, but I could see Buffon possibly making the team instead of him for saving Cagliari’s penalty to keep a clean sheet.

Ziyech, 87, CM – vs Groningen

Ajax haven’t had the best weeks so far, they lost their last 2 matches and lost Davinson Sanchez to Spurs. But playing at home, Ajax outplayed Groningen winning 3-1. Ziyech scored 1 goal, gave one assist, completed 3 dribbles and had 10 shots on goal claiming a 9.7 match rating.

Jonas, 89, ST – vs Belenenses

Jonas started off great, scoring 2 goals and giving 2 assists, as well as striking the crossbar in the second half. Should be a pretty good inform.

Icardi, 90, ST – vs Fiorentina

Icardi scored 2 times in a 3-1 win over Fiorentina. Although one of them being a penalty, I could see him making the side, claiming a solid 8.9 rating.

Subs & Reserves

Fernandes, 73, GK – vs St Pauli

Fernandes made 9 saves and got a clean sheet in a 3-0 win for recently relegated Darmstadt. Fernandes claimed a big 9.7 MOTM rating.

Veigneau, 74, LB – vs Besiktas

Veigneau got 2 assists in a 2-2 draw, claiming a 8.7 match rating and seeing off the holding Super Lig champions.

Vlaar, 81, CB – vs ADO Den Haag

AZ lost their first match against PSV, but looked really strong against ADO. Vlaar had a good performance and although I can see thousands of other players making it in, Vlaar is one of the few lower rated players and I think he’ll have a good chance.

de Guzman, 73, CDM – vs Monarcas

De Guzman scored both goals to beat Monarcas 1-2 away from home, taking all three points home.

Fernandes, 81, CM – vs Victoria

Both Sporting and Benfica had a big opener, Sporting scored 5 goals away from home with Fernandes picking up 2 of those goals and a 8.7 match rating.

Malcom, 81, RW – vs Olympique Lyonnais

Bordeaux had a great match against Lyonnais, drawing 3-3, with Malcom scoring the 2nd goal and the 3rd goal in the 91th minute.

Karadeniz, 81, ST – vs Anzji

Karadeniz scored 3 goals against the newly promoted Anzji.

Kolarov, 83, LWB – vs Atalanta

Roma won 0-1 at Atalanta thanks to a late goal from Aleksander Kolarov, who recently transferred from Manchester City, and picked up a 8.7 match rating.

Hourihane, 74, CM – vs Aston Villa

Hourihane scored 3 goals in Aston Villa’s 4-3 win over Norwich City, claiming a 10 match rating and the top scorer title for Gameweek 3.

Birsa, 81, CAM – vs Udinese

Chievo Verona beat Udinese 1-2 away from home in their first Serie A game this season. Birsa scored the first goal and assisted the second goal.

Stuani, 74, ST – vs Atletico Madrid

Old Espanyol player Stuani scored 2 goals for Girona as they went on to draw 2-2 in a disappointing match against Atletico Madrid.

Aboubakar, 87, ST – vs Moreirense

Aboubakar scored all three Porto goals as they beat Moreirense 3-0 in their first home game of the season.
